After having been delivered from 1961 to 1966 the tramcars GT6 (series 300) used to belong to the every day's picture of the Nuernberg tramway. They have been in service on all lines, mostly together with the dragged cars series 1500. The legendary tramcars series 300 have been in regular service until September 2003, whereas only three pieces were in operation at last: No. 305, 326 and 334. Tramcars No. 305 and 334 are preserved as historical and can be seen in the future on special courses.
On 12th November 2003 were loaded four tramcars on railway cars for the very last time and sent to Nuernberg's partner-town in Poland - Krakow. Here are operating even more former Nuernberg tramcars, some of them with an attractive blue-beige livery.
